The burden that has
been pressed upon my heart is the lack of solid preaching behind the
pulpit in America today. Through this burden, pressed so heavily upon
my heart by the Lord, the preach-a-thon was birthed. I believe
that Pastor Steve Lawson said it best that we are
“experiencing
a famine in the land”
today in America. The “famine”
is that of solid, Christ-Centered, standing-on-the-text preaching that
we long for.
Our pulpits are
being filled with spineless individuals who desire only to tickle ears,
pack pews, and fill up stadiums. This has led our churches to starve
from lack of spiritual nourishment.
My prayer is that
God would continue to grow this ministry in such a way that we reach
beyond the community in Lexington and other churches would even host
these events.
Praise God for
godly, sold-out, bold men of God, who are anointed by Him to preach
His word. Our prayer is that through this ministry, the sheep, the
called-out ones, would feed off this solid preaching, begin to grow
and be strengthened in their faith. Also, we pray that God would
even call His own to Himself on these special evenings.
