Preach-a-thon

Home of the Annual Preach-a-thon, where Jesus Christ is exalted and the Bible is preached!

In the Summer of 2007, God in His sovereign goodness pressed upon my heart a vision of a night packed full of preaching.  As I wrestled with this vision, wondering if it was of the flesh or of the Spirit, God continued to press more of this vision upon my heart.  As job spoke of the Lord after realizing that God truly is the Sovereign King of the universe, Job said:

“I know that You can do all things, and
that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.”

~Job 42:2~

So God placed 6 anointed men of God, under one roof, to preach one message, of one God, for one purpose; to proclaim His excellencies, to glorify His name. 

The first annual preach-a-thon had a theme of “The Glory of God in Unpopular Truths.”  It was an amazing night of slam-packed preaching, where Christ was exalted.  Thankfully, Christ not only showed up but showed off! 

Lord willing, God will bless us with the opportunity to continue this tradition of hosting an annual preach-a-thon.  For those who have been blessed with privilege and great responsibility to be called to preach the Gospel of Christ, may the inspired words of Paul be engraved upon our hearts:

“For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of,
for I am under compulsion; for woe is me
if I do not preach the gospel.”

~1 Corinthians 9:16~
